my advice: skip it. this hose nozzle did NOT last one year before it started leaking a lot water at the mid-level.
Achilles heel. Don't know but more than necessary to snap the so called heavy duty fiberglass inside. Yes, you see the aluminum & thick molded rubber but not the relatively fragile fiberglass stem inside. I had hoped this be my last nozzle. You bet. Freezing water expands with tremendous force. The fine print spells out it must not be allowed to freeze with water pressure in it. How tremendous.
By the way, I was using the recommended 5/8" ID hose. While this product appears to be well made, the water pressure in the area where I live (45 psi) is insufficient to get acceptable performance from this nozzle.
The lack of a trigger means you just point, twist, and shoot water.Get one, you won't be disappointed. It wasn't a pressure washer.but is pretty darn powerful.I even dropped it twice, on the sidewalk, and it kept right on shooting water. An awesome, awesome nozzle. I hooked this thing up and just sat outside watering stuff for almost 10 minutes while I played with the nozzle. The water spray can be fine-tuned from a narrow stream to a wide stream with a twist of the handle. It goes from a soaker to a jet stream that SHOOTS water at least 25ft away. The big plastic pieces ensure you always have a firm grip on the nozzle. The jet stream was powerful enough that I used it to clean off dirt on some siding.
However, the spray pattern is just fine for watering plants, washing cars, etc, so I'm happy with it. I love this hose nozzle, because it's so well made. I would buy another, but I probably won't need to since this one will last so long. But don't count on it being a pressure washer if you don't have high water pressure. But I'd love it more if I had higher water pressure. My water pressure is probably around 40-45 PSI, and this nozzle doesn't put out the advertised pressure for me.
